National Club Association Files Motion in Florida Court

On Monday, December 13, the National Club Association (NCA) submitted a motion to file an amicus brief with the District Court of Appeal of the Second District of Florida in support of NCA member Fiddlesticks Country Club located in Fort Myers, Fla. The motion requests the court to grant an order allowing NCA to file the amicus brief. Fiddlesticks is appealing a ruling from the lower court that would negatively impact clubs throughout the state of Florida by effectively forcing clubs to abide by bylaws in effect when members joined the club—even in instances when the bylaws were appropriately amended by the membership. The brief will be filed with the court later this month.
