The National Club Association Announces New Officers

Nonprofit Consultant and Club Leader to Govern Industry’s Most Powerful Advocate

Washington, D.C. (May 27, 2021) – The National Club Association (NCA) recently held its annual meeting at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla., in conjunction with its National Club Conference, where it elected new officers to govern the Association. The mission of NCA, a Washington, D.C.-based trade association, is to promote and advance the interests and well-being of all private, social and recreational clubs through advocacy, insightful education and governance best practices. NCA has served as the primary resource for the club community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new officers of the National Club Association include NCA Chair Michael Bruni, Managing Director at HPS Chicago and Past President of the Olympia Fields Foundation in Olympia Fields, Ill., and Nick Sidorakis, CCM, General Manager/COO, Southern Hills Country Club, in Tulsa, Okla., serving as Vice Chair.

“NCA shined through the hardships of the past year with critical resources, effective advocacy and forward-thinking guidance on the industry’s most challenging issues,” said Bruni. “I’m excited to build upon this momentum to make NCA an even more powerful education resource and advocate for clubs nationwide.”

Luke O’Boyle, CCM, CCE, General Manager/CEO, Chevy Chase Club in Chevy Chase, Md., was elected as Secretary and Malcolm MacColl, Board of Governors, The Windsor Club in Vero Beach, Fla., was re-elected Treasurer. The Immediate Past Chair is Christine Pooler, CCM, ECM, General Manager/COO of Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

The new director elected to the NCA board for three-year terms is Jeff McFadden, CCM, CCE, ECM, General Manager of the Union League of Philadelphia. Thomas A. Lenz, JD, Partner, Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo in Pasadena, Calif., and Michelle F. Tanzer, JD, Partner, Nelson Mullins, in Boca Raton, Fla., were reelected to the board.
