About Club Benchmarking
Club Benchmarking is on a mission to deliver fact-based insight to clubs. We believe that when club leaders elevate fact over opinion, the result is healthier clubs, more empowered general managers and boards that are properly equipped to focus on strategic issues. The company was born in the boardroom of a private club in direct response to a clear and urgent need for facts to guide the decision-making process.
Developed in cooperation with club managers and controllers, board and committee members, and audit firms specializing in clubs, our core Financial & Operational Benchmarking Platform is an online management tool that allows clubs to assess financial and operational performance in minutes. The company was established in Boston, Mass., in 2009 by co-founders Ray Cronin and Russ Conde. In 2017, Dr. Jim Butler joined the team as CEO to launch the company’s next chapter and deliver Club Benchmarking Solutions: a range of data-centric products and services designed to help clubs meet the future with confidence.
