Happy New Year! The National Club Association wishes all its members a wonderful 2024. We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to working with you on behalf of the private club community.
At the close of 2023, NCA announced a partnership with governance and private clubs expert Fred Laughin, a principal author of NCA and CMAA’s Private Club Governance: A Handbook of Principles and Best Practices, to evaluate and update the governance resources NCA provides to members.
The association was also pleased to announce the renewal of its Executive Partnership with Peacock + Lewis Architects for the fourth consecutive year.
NCA continues to monitor issues that may affect private clubs, including the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)’s proposed rule prohibiting “junk fees,” aimed at the food service and hospitality sectors. Last month, we shared club-specific regulatory and legislative news in the Washington Weekly Update: Dec. 4; Dec. 11; and Dec. 18.
Registration for the 2024 National Club Conference is open! NCA’s 20th Conference, April 28-30 at the new Omni PGA Frisco Resort,Texas, will bring a host of top-notch speakers, opportunities to meet and get to know others in the club community (including two topic-specific networking roundtable lunches), the half-day, closed-door Governance Symposium for club presidents and board members, and the optional and social activities NCC is known for—including several at the newly-opened PGA Headquarters.
