COVID-19 Club Update: Have CDC Quarantine COVID Guidelines Changed? Here’s What You Need to Know

Club Updates – July 6
COVID-19 infections have increased in recent weeks due to the fast-spreading BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants, reports the CDC. The two strains now make up 70.1% of cases as of July 2, compared to 52% the week prior. BA.4 and BA.5 are more contagious than other strains, such as BA.2 which surged in early 2022, but fortunately, seem to cause fewer deaths and hospitalizations.
