Do you ever get the sense that something is different, but you can’t quite put your finger on it? Well, what you are putting your finger on right now– the spring issue of Club Director—is different. You may have noticed the modern, but still classic-looking masthead, the new layout and new columns.
Through a lot of hard work by the NCA communications team led by our Vice President of Communications Cindy Vizza, we have developed a fresh format for the magazine. From selecting a new design firm, to figuring out the look, and going through numerous iterations, the team has put together a great publication that you will be excited to call yours. This is just one of the many positive changes that have been happening quite regularly here at NCA that are putting us in a better position to serve you.
Other positive changes include the new Legacy Alliance Partnership with MembersFirst and Jonas Club Software. As a Legacy Alliance Partner, these two organizations are showing their commitment to advancing and protecting the private club industry, and are positioning themselves as valuable resources and educational leaders for clubs nationwide. We are very excited for what this new relationship holds.
Changes are also taking place at our upcoming National Club Conference May 19-21 in Chicago. As always, this great conference provides you the opportunity to learn from and engage in thoughtful discussions and interactions with industry experts as they address some of the greatest challenges to clubs and to participate in unique social events. This year, please join us to hear from Rick Waddell, Chairman & CEO Northern Trust Corporation and President of The Chicago Club and play in the newly structured National Club Association Golf Classic that will take place at Conway Farms Golf Club, host of the 2015 BMW Championship. We are also hosting the inaugural ClubPAC reception to thank those who have given and to detail how a strong political action committee is necessary for our success as a lobbying organization.
Like the exciting changes and new opportunities that spring offers—sunnier days, blooming flowers, budding trees—NCA is poised for a transformation. I hope you enjoy Club Director’s new design and I look forward to seeing you in Chicago for an amazing event.
