NCA Monthly
With less than a week until Election Day and polls showing the two presidential candidates running neck-and-neck, the National Club Association is keeping a close eye on regulatory issues affecting private clubs and potential effects of election results. We’ll keep members informed.
In early October, NCA President & CEO Joe Trauger spoke at the Detroit Athletic Club Board of Directors retreat at the Cosmos Club, Washington, D.C. A week later, the NCA Board of Directors gathered with NCA staff at the Union League Club of Philadelphia for a productive retreat. And after that, Trauger spoke at the Metropolitan Golf Association Presidents’ Council meeting at Glen Oaks Country Club, New York.
And if it’s true a picture’s worth a thousand words, we’re on our way to a world-class missive (only with more fun)—NCA’s on Instagram! Give us a follow; we’ll share images, news and valuable information from the association, our member clubs and the industry. You might even spy yourself! Check us out at this link or on the app at handle @nationalclubassociation.
Joe Trauger joined NCA advocacy partner Platinum Advisors’ Rob Smith, Tony Hobbs and Katy Green in a webcast that took a deep dive into this year’s elections and what they may mean for clubs. The robust discussion covered a host of topics; NCA members can watch the recording here.
The new issue of Club Director, NCA’s flagship periodical, included a dive into the regulatory issues NCA is tracking—those that affect or could affect the way private clubs serve their members. Members can read Eight Regulatory Issues Affecting Clubs here (sign in with your email address—no password required); keep it as a reference, too.
Members received an alert from NCA encouraging them to support hurricane relief efforts for clubs in southern states, including three nonprofits collecting and disbursing funds.
