NCA Monthly: August

NCA Monthly

As the summer season draws to a close, the National Club Association is looking ahead to this fall’s elections and events on the horizon.

NCA President & CEO Joe Trauger joined other industry leaders in Palm Beach, Fla., at the start of the month to present at this year’s Seasonal Connect Staffing Summit. A few weeks later, he visited Riviera Country Club, also in Florida, to present Mark Snure, ECM, with his Excellence in Club Management® Award in a club ceremony. ECM awards were first presented at the 2024 National Club Conference in Frisco, Texas, in April. Trauger wrapped up the month with a visit to NCA Vice Chair Michael McCarthy at Addison Reserve Country Club.

NCA and CMAA sent a survey about the jointly-published Club Governance: A Handbook of Principles and Best Practices to club members, seeing input for the next edition of the popular guide. The survey closes Sept. 6—if you’re a club GM/Board member who’s downloaded the handbook and hasn’t seen the survey yet, please email us and we’ll ensure you get the link.
