Roughly 130,000 Americans are testing positive for COVID-19 daily, a 2% decrease from two weeks ago, reports The New York Times. Led by Kentucky with a 22% uptick in cases from two weeks prior, about half of state are experiencing a small uptick in cases while the other half is experiencing a small decrease. New York City has seen a 70% increase in hospitalization rates in the past month, driven by the BA.5 subvariant, reports NBC New York.
