The National Club Association (NCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kim Fernandez, CAE, as vice president of communications.
Fernandez comes to NCA from the International Parking & Mobility Institute, where she was director of publications, heading the association’s magazine, blog, social media and other communications efforts. She has more than 25 years of experience as a writer, editor, publications director and marketing professional.
“Kim is the consummate communications professional with a proven track record of success in associations. I have the pleasure of knowing Kim for 10 years, having met her when she worked with me at IPMI,” said NCA President and CEO Henry Wallmeyer. “Her tremendous experiences, talents, work ethic, temperament and willingness to take on any challenge are just what we need to lead NCA’s communications department to even greater successes. I look forward to her bringing new skills and ideas to the position and know that she will fit in seamlessly with the NCA team. “
“I’m thrilled to join such a dynamic and forward-thinking organization as NCA,” said Fernandez. “It is, of course, an honor to follow in the footsteps of a dedicated and talented professional like former Vice President Cindy Vizza, and I look forward to continuing her great work with the Association and the club industry.”
Fernandez holds a degree in communications from Loyola University Maryland, and a graduate certificate in social media marketing from Rutgers Business School. She has won multiple writing and publications awards and is a Certified Association Executive. She lives in Bethesda, Md., with her family and starts at NCA on January 18; she can be reached at [email protected].
