Bucking the old saying, March came in and left like a lion at the National Club Association, where things stayed busy all month long—with a lot more to come in April.
President & CEO Joe Trauger kicked off the month at the Greater Chicago Regional Education Forum Expo, where he and NCA Vice President of Membership & Sales Katina Cavagnaro talked with club professionals and suppliers about NCA and the private club industry.
Next, Joe led a three-part series on club governance for the Wisconsin Badger and Chicago Chapters of CMAA; his sessions closely followed the jointly published Club Governance: A Handbook of Principles and Best Practices (the handbook's second edition will launch this month with new resources—keep an eye out!).
And late in March, he met with the professional staff of the House Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee to discuss reconciliation, including sharing the results of the
economic impact study released in November.
NCA welcomed
Liz Callahan to staff as marketing manager. Liz comes to the association from Utah Stories and Cypress Magazines and will work to grow awareness of NCA programs and resources. We're thrilled to have her onboard!
