Paul J. Sarvadi is the chairman and chief executive officer of Insperity. Co-founding Insperity in 1986, Sarvadi played a major role in establishing a new industry called professional employer organizations – outsourcing the HR function – and served as president of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations. For 40 years, under Sarvadi's leadership, Insperity has grown from a two-person operation with three initial clients to a $6.8 billion publicly traded company with sales and service operations throughout the United States.
Prior to co-founding Insperity, Sarvadi started and operated several small companies. Through his work with small businesses and as a business owner himself, he experienced first-hand the challenges entrepreneurs must overcome in order to succeed. Sarvadi also gained an understanding and appreciation of the crucial role employees play in helping businesses succeed. His ongoing vision for Insperity is to serve as a trusted advisor to businesses across the country, creating customers for life by providing a breadth and depth of products and services and level of care that are unmatched in the marketplace.
In 2019, Sarvadi published his first best-selling book, “Take Care of Your People.” In this book, he helps small and medium sized business owners overcome the myriad of challenges they face by distilling their problems into one essential issue. Sarvadi’s second book, “Making Differences Work,” which he co-authored with Texas A&M University professor and Insperity board member Dr. Eli Jones, will be available February 2024. In his second book, Sarvadi aims to empower leaders and individuals to harness the strength that emerges from a unified workforce.
In 2001, Sarvadi was selected as the National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® for service industries. Sarvadi was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame in 2007 and received a Silver Stevie® Award in the category of Lifetime Achievement Award – Business Services Industries from The American Business Awards® program in 2019. Sarvadi is an alumnus of Rice University and the University of Houston. He and his wife Victoria founded The Nathaniel Foundation in Kingwood, Texas.
