“The National Club Conference is recognized as the one conference that club leaders need to attend,” said Henry Wallmeyer, President & CEO of the National Club Association. “Effective governance is essential to the success of any club, and NCA is offering presentations that will provide invaluable information and inspiration to club managers, presidents and board members.”
The National Club Conference will take place at the new Conrad Washington, DC, which was recently ranked America’s top hotel design for 2019 by Architectural Digest. The Conference will showcase some of D.C.’s iconic clubs, including the Cosmos Club, the Sulgrave Club and the Capitol Hill Club; a VIP reception and dinner at the historic Metropolitan Club of the City of Washington, just steps from the White House; and a once-in-a-lifetime private event at the Supreme Court of the United States, hosted by Justice Anthony Kennedy (ret.), followed by a cocktail reception in the Court’s Great Hall.
The Conference will also offer a number of exciting optional events, including a golf outing at the Chevy Chase Club and a VIP tour of Washington, that will include private tours of the United States Capitol, The Library of Congress, the U.S. Botanic Gardens and Arlington
National Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as well as lunch at the Capitol Hill Club.
Conference sponsors include Condon, O’Meara, McGinty & Donnelly LLP, Michael Mondavi Family Estate, Peacock + Lewis Architects and Planners, LLC, Studio JBD and Jefferson Group Architecture, UHY, LLP, ClubCar and Private Club Radio.
“The National Club Conference isn’t a typical conference,” said Wallmeyer. “Rather than have a single keynote, we prefer to create a schedule that’s full of keynote-level presentations. I think that’s reflected in this year’s list of speakers and sessions.”
