ClubPAC is the Nation Club Association’s (NCA) Political Action Committee (PAC). It is a voluntary, bipartisan PAC formed to help elect federal candidates who support the private club industry. ClubPAC serves to strengthen the club industry’s political voice, educate and mobilize members to become more politically active, and support candidates who promote legislation and policies that create a fair business environment, allowing the club industry to create jobs and grow the economy.

Federal Election Commission (FEC) laws contain extensive rules that trade associations must follow when it comes their political action committees. Pursuant to those laws, NCA cannot even provide information about ClubPAC without meeting specific and complex requirements.

Prior to giving you more information about ClubPAC and asking for contributions, the FEC requires us to obtain any member club’s written permission. For this purpose, please complete the form provided below. Further, federal law prohibits clubs from making contributions to ClubPAC. Instead, those contributions may only come from the club’s senior employees and not the club’s general account.

Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and the name of the employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.

Your donation will be used as a political contribution by ClubPAC at a later date.

The suggested amount is only suggested and more or less than the suggested amount may be given.

No reprisals will be taken against you or your club should you decide not to give. The amount contributed by you, or your decision not to contribute, will not benefit or disadvantage you or your club as a member of National Club Association.

Contributions to ClubPAC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

NCA has established a Legal Action Fund to assist private clubs engaged in litigation that would have an impact on the larger community of private clubs. The first case NCA has decided to weigh in on involves Fiddlesticks Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida. A lower court judge ruled that the bylaws in effect when a group of members joined the club are essentially a contract and remain in effect despite a membership vote to amend the bylaws. If it stands the ruling will potentially affect every club in Florida that amends its bylaws. The case has been appealed and NCA will be filing an amicus brief in support of Fiddlesticks Country Club.
